Keth'Rok Singularity Disc
The Tamed Void, The Hungry Maw
The signature weapon of the Keth'Rok, the Singularity Disc is one of the most feared and misunderstood technologies in the galaxy. It is not a manufactured weapon in the traditional sense, but a psionically created and sustained micro-singularity—a stabilized, handheld tear in the fabric of spacetime. Bonded for life to its wielder, the disc is a terrifying extension of the Keth'Rok's will, a weapon that does not cut or burn, but consumes.
Core Principles
Primary Function: Matter & Energy Consumption via Localized Gravity Well.
Power Source: The psionic focus and life energy of a bonded Keth'Rok Commander.
Composition: A stabilized micro-singularity; a point of absolute void.
Legality: Its creation and use are a guarded secret of the Keth'Rok Conclave. The bonding process is believed to be a brutal and often fatal rite of passage for their commanders.
Capabilities & Mechanics
1. Consumption (Primary Attack):
The disc's primary function is to erase matter. When thrown or directed at a target, its intense gravitational field causes the target to collapse inward upon itself at a molecular level.
Effect on Target: The victim is not killed in a conventional sense; they are unmade. Their form grotesquely distorts, folds inward, and is compressed into the disc's singularity, leaving absolutely nothing behind—not even blood or dust.
Psychic Feedback: The process of consumption releases a powerful wave of psychic energy—the final, terrified echo of the victim's consciousness. Keth'Rok are known to be able to feed on this energy, making each kill a source of psionic sustenance.
2. The Psionic Bond:
A Commander does not merely wield their disc; they are bonded to it. This psychic link is absolute and is considered an integral part of their being.
Willful Control: The Commander controls the disc's path, speed, and spin through pure thought, allowing for impossible trajectories and mid-flight corrections.
Void Shield (Defense): When held, the disc can be used defensively. Its gravity well can absorb and dissipate vast amounts of incoming energy from weapons fire, making a Keth'Rok Commander incredibly difficult to harm from the front.
The Severing: The bond can be psychically contested or, in extreme cases, forcibly severed. For a Keth'Rok, losing their disc is a fate worse than death. It is a spiritual and psychic amputation, leaving them disgraced, weakened, and "unmade" in the eyes of their people.
Limitations & Countermeasures
Concentration: Maintaining and controlling the disc requires immense psychic focus.
Dimensional Opposition: The dimensional nature of Axrathan Tesseract Daggers can clash with the disc's reality-warping field.
Did You Know?
The initiation ritual to bond with a singularity is incredibly dangerous. It is believed that for every Keth'Rok who successfully becomes a Commander, nine initiates are consumed by the very void they sought to master.
A Keth'Rok can split their disc into two smaller, weaker constructs, allowing them to engage multiple targets simultaneously.
